इसी तरह, अगर हम अपनी हेल्थ, रिश्ते, पैसे, अपने काम या business की देखभाल नहीं करेंगे, उसका लगातार maintenance नहीं करेंगे, तो धीरे-धीरे सब कुछ बिखर सकता है।

तो आज हम बात करने जा रहे हैं, एक ऐसी किताब की, जो आपकी अच्छी तरीके से सोचने को मजबूर करेगी। इस किताब के लेखक हैं Rolf Dobelli, जिनकी पहली किताब 'The Art of Thinking Clearly' ने decision making के ऊपर आंखे खोल देने वाली कडवी सच्चाई सब के सामने रखी। अगर आपने वो किताब नहीं पढी, तो जरूर पढिए गा, क्योंकि उसमें बताया गया है कि हम normal life में कैसे कैसे गलत decisions लेते हैं, और कैसे उनसे बच सकते हैं। तो वो book पूरा decision making पर था, जिससे हम हमारे life में अच्छे decisions लेना सिख सकते हैं। आज उनकी latest बुक 'The Not To Do List' की बात करेंगे। ये किताब थोडी अलग है। इसमें 52 ऐसे चैप्टर्स हैं, जो बताते हैं कि आपको लाइफ में क्या क्या नहीं करना चाहिए, अगर आप एक अच्छी ज़िंदगी जीना चाहते हैं तो। यानी, ये एक 'Not To Do List' है। की हमको लाइफ में यह चीज़े बिल्कुल नहीं करनी चाहिए, वरना life खराब होगी जरूर। इस बुक का पहला chapter मुजे इतना पसंद आया, की मैने सोचा, इसके पहले chapter पर एक blog तो बनाना ही चाहिए। तो इस किताब के पहले chapter को यहाँ discuss करेंगे, और उससे कुछ सीखेंगे। chapter का title है 'Let Things Fall Apart'। इसमें एक बहुत ही simple लेकिन गहरी बात कही गई है, अगर आप अपनी life को बर्बाद करना चाहते हैं, तो बस छोटी-छोटी चीज़ों की maintenance करना छोड़ दीजिए। ऐसा ही हमारी health में होता है। जब कोई doctor हमारे heart का bypass surgery करता है, तो हम उसे हीरो मानते हैं। लेकिन जो family doctor हमें सालों तक checkup करके ठीक रखता है, और बडी बीमारियाँ होने ही नहीं देता, उसकी कोई तारीफ नहीं करता, या उसकी कोई वाह वाह नहीं होती। रिश्तों में भी यही होता है। हम बडे बडे moments को याद रखते हैं। लेकिन रोज़-रोज़ की, छोटी-छोटी care, बातचीत, understanding, यही असली maintenance है, जो relationships को मजबूत बनाती है। Business में भी यही दिखता है सब जगह, कोई Company डूबने की कगार पर आ जाती है, उसके बाद, उसको वापस खडा करने वाले CEO को सब जानते हैं, उसके Newspaper में article आते हैं, लेकिन अनेक companies ऐसी होती है, जिसको डूबने की कगार पर आने ही नहीं दिया जाता, जो उसको Turnaround करना पडे, और ऐसी companies के चलाने वाले middle managers को कोई नहीं जानता। असल में, Maintenance कोई heroic काम नहीं है, लेकिन यही सबसे ज़रूरी है। अगर आप चाहते हैं कि आपकी life, आपके रिश्ते, आपकी health, आपका business सही चले, तो रोज़-रोज़ की छोटी-छोटी maintenance को ignore मत कीजिए। अगर सीढ़ियाँ चढ़ने में दिक्कत हो रही है, तो doctor से मिलिए। अगर आपके partner का mood हमेशा ही खराब रहता है, तो इसके बारे में बात कीजिए। अगर घर में कोई चीज़ खराब है, तो उसे तुरंत ठीक कराइए। अपनी savings, health, और रिश्तों में regular maintenance कीजिए। याद रखिए, असली hero वो है, जो चीज़ों को बिगड़ने ही नहीं देता। तो आज से ही अपनी life की maintenance शुरू कीजिए। और Comment में बताइए, आप अपनी life में किस चीज़ की maintenance सबसे ज़्यादा ignore करते हैं? या ऐसी कोई चीज बताइए जिसको आप regular maintain करते हैं, जिससे ऐसी situation में आने से ही बच जाएँ।
